Wedding leis are a Hawaiian wedding tradition. Maile leis are the most traditional wedding lei, as it was used by the Kahu (minister leader) in old Hawaii to bind the hands of the bride and groom, symbolizing their sacred union.

Hawaiian leis have become a popular standard for weddings, even without a tropical theme. Hawaiian leis can be used in place of or in conjunction with bouquets or corsages for the bride or any member of the wedding party.

Any Hawaiian leis are appropriate for wearing during the ceremony or reception, not only for the bride and groom, but for the wedding party, minister, and even parents and grandparents of both bride and groom.

If you have specific colors for your wedding, consider our gorgeous "Boa style" lei. These incredible leis have between 300 to 600 flowers in them and are 60 inches long . The Boa leis is an "open" leis, which drapes over the neck and hangs open in the front below waste level. This style of leis can be made of just about any combination and color of tropical flowers such as plumeria, tuberose, orchid, carnation and roses. For a groom, consider the "Maile style Ti Leaf" lei wrapped with flowers that would match the bride's "Boa Style".
